Why passkey + passphrase?
Your Passkey = Proving Who You Are A cryptographic credential in your device's secure hardware. No passwords to steal, phishing-proof (bound to this domain), works with Face ID/Touch ID/Windows Hello. The private key never leaves your device.
Your Passphrase = Protecting What You Own Encrypts all your data in the browser before upload. We store only encrypted blobs we can't read. Zero-knowledge means even we can't access your content — true ownership, but lose the phrase, lose access.

Zero-Knowledge Security:
Your passphrase encrypts all your data. If you forget it, your data cannot be recovered - not even by us. Write it down or use a password manager.

Add a Passkey?

A passkey lets you log in with just your face or fingerprint — no typing needed.

Passkey = Your ID card

Proves who you are — like showing ID to get into the bank. Quick and convenient.

Passphrase = Your safe combo

Unlocks your encrypted data. You'll still need this — the passkey is your second form of ID.

You can always add a passkey later in Settings.
